Today I finished stitching this Kurta for my friend. She wanted a potli button front neck design. I think it looks good, isn’t it?
After I pressed and folded it, I remembered that I have not posted here for a long time. I grabbed my phone and clicked this pic.
I still need feedback on the fitting of it as I have to hand over it to my friend.
It’s not that I am not doing anything at all. I had been busy with kids for their summer holidays. Sadly this year we didn’t do much together. Kids did some crafting here and there but it was all unplanned; so not much to share.
I started some knitting projects recently, I’ll be posting about them in my next post. Till that time “happy crafting” 🙂
I had not been feeling like crafting for the last three months. I did some projects but nothing big, mending or alteration was what mainly happened for me. So not much to share but two mega failed projects
A pair of slippers and a headband for a little princess, sadly the slippers didn’t fit her (although I did make it for a year old size). I still have to make another pair for her and it’s been a month. I know I am being lazy but it looks like I am slowly getting my mojo back and soon I’ll update on this project.
A lace shrug made on request for Bhabhi. Sadly after washing I realised that the underarms are not going to fit her and so again I have to start a new one. I am still not sure about what to do with it.
I had been enjoying sewing lately, had tried a lot of stuff. as expected mostly for my daughters..
a top for my dd
and a salwar
a collared top
and a patiyala bottom
Crochet project; a cardi
Dahliya block in progress
a summer dress in needles.
we did dig the mud ….
we backed honey yoghurt muffins…
we made the pompom doll
we ate homemade doughnuts
we made a yarn wrapped vase
and we sang “do you want to build a snowman? ” all day long!! 🙂
the border colour is bleeding but I like the effect it is giving to the tee 🙂 the knit is fitting perfectly and I like the length. it is a clever pattern from tincanknits worked upside down seamlessly.
Yes she is knitting!! Call me crazy…. when Achu went to see the doctor, Aaku kept asking me what should she do? I had things in mind but if I would start without Achu… she will be grumpy all day saying I only love Aaku not her. so I asked Aaku to make a dress for her doll and I ment a fabric dress, as I was knitting Aaku said she will knit a skirt for her doll! I had to show her…. she did one ribbing row, that means one full row of 17 sts k1p1. 🙂
and what else… if Aaku has done something how Achu will not do that
here is she with her knitted scarf
one month gone and I have nothing much to share…. I am busy between work, children and home. crafts are happening but the pace is so slow and some w.i.p.s lying around the house. the only thing I managed to finish is this dress
Initially I took another lace for the neck but then changed the design …
I was making the same dress as the one for Achu, but I had less of the solid colour fabric, so I choose to use it in body. Now I was cutting the front and halfway I realised I did something wrong! I forgot to fold the fabric twice … So I had to make up for the mistake and this came out as result!
