It’s a buttoned up skirt with elastic ribbing to get the waist shaping and has cable pattern running down the body of the skirt in the contrast of reverse stockinette stitch.
Do favourite, add to queue and search your stash to knit this beauty up!
The pattern is written for seven sizes starting from 4T to 16yrs.
Finally I managed to tuck in the loose ends to say this project a completed one
I don’t have a model for this beauty. I have to post it to the recipient and wait for the modeled pics.

It was started in October 2013. It is Semco Fairy Knitting Design No. 9 a free knitting pattern. The pattern includes instructions for making 5 different sized cloths from the same patten and can be worked with yarn of any weight from size 60 thread on 1mm needles all the way up to fingering weight cotton on size 3.75mm needles. I used the light fingering weight which I had in my stash.
It is going to be on centre table!!
the border colour is bleeding but I like the effect it is giving to the tee 🙂 the knit is fitting perfectly and I like the length. it is a clever pattern from tincanknits worked upside down seamlessly.
Yes she is knitting!! Call me crazy…. when Achu went to see the doctor, Aaku kept asking me what should she do? I had things in mind but if I would start without Achu… she will be grumpy all day saying I only love Aaku not her. so I asked Aaku to make a dress for her doll and I ment a fabric dress, as I was knitting Aaku said she will knit a skirt for her doll! I had to show her…. she did one ribbing row, that means one full row of 17 sts k1p1. 🙂
and what else… if Aaku has done something how Achu will not do that

So the year 2013 is about to end and this is the time of gifting.. I don’t follow the Christmas gifting but still managed to finish up some pending gifting projects and did some quick gifts as well. If you did follow my earlier posts you would remember I was knitting a sweater and was about to quit… I managed to finish it but was not quite happy with the neck and so redid the neckband and now it is ready to be gifted.

I have been knitting with this beautiful yarn with jute and cotton mix to make a market bag. Here is the bag all done!
The yarn feels quite stiff when you touch it first and I struggled in winding it into a ball. but I didn’t find any difficulty in knitting with it until the first row of k2tog, that was the place I had to knit carefully as I was not able to hold two sts together at first, but didn’t face this in later rows. overall the yarn was a great experience with jute and I loved working with it.
